Do you honor your body as the incredible Temple that it is? Have you taken the time to stop and think about how incredible you are? You have a heart that beats without you having anything to do with it. You have a liver that filters out toxins so you can get up refreshed every day and take on the day. You have this incredible system inside your body that filters everything you eat and makes new cells so you can thrive on a day to day basis.

But why aren't you thriving? Is your skin breaking out? Is your heart misfiring like mine was? Do your fingers and joints hurt at times reminding you of an elderly person and what's sure to come (which is not the way have to age)? Do the wrinkles on your face and bags under your eyes tell a story you'd rather not have read?

I know. I have these chapters in my book of life also. I know what it is like to have less than desirable skin. I know what it's like to have a heart that misfires. I know what it feels like to not be able to turn a key because my wrist and fingers hurt. I know back pain. I know migraines. I know mood swings and anxiety. I also know the body is a healing machine- if you will give it what it is designed to eat. Skin eats too. Use natural products and your skin will thank you. Eat naturally, and it will too.

I have been on a healing journey for some time. I've learned a lot over the years. Your body, my body- is indeed a Temple. It will heal most anything you can think of if you simply know how to nourish the beautifully complex system called the body. Although our system is beautifully made and complex, the idea of allowing the body to heal itself is a wise an attainable goal for all of us (thankfully). I have helped thousands with skin issues and your body is the same.

Is vibrant health a priority for you? It may seem like an overly simplified question to which anyone in their right mind would respond with a resounding "YES!". However, when you probe a little deeper, some people simply can not deal well with "being different than another family member" or feeling "socially left out" and still another may not be able to give up watching their favorite TV series which calculates into thousands of hours in front of a TV. Some can not give up junk food because in truth they are "addicted." Many reasons can be hiding under a personal reason for remaining over weight, sick or lacking a vibrant glow. Your skin doesn't need to be one of them.

But I am not sick you say. If you are breaking out, over weight, have arthritis, have to take medication or hook up to a CPAP machine, or unable to do the things you enjoy with ease- you are not flourishing in a state of wellness. You may have told yourself all kinds of things to cope. You may have even received much sympathy from health care providers and family. But to say you are "well" is simply a non-truth. There is another way. A way to break free from this unnecessary pain.

When I talk with people about skin and health one of two things comes up. The person is either looking for help or looking to be rescued. You can tell within a few seconds of speaking to a person where they are at mentally. It doesn't mean they are a bad person; it simply means they are in a state of dis-ease, denial, and self-preservation. They have never been on the other side of wellness. It's uncharted territory. They are either comfortable in the state of dis-ease or they want out!

The first step to wellness is accepting the responsibility that you are where you are because of your choices. You are there because of YOU. No one else. Now, I am not talking about people that get hit by a car or things out of our control. What I am writing about is a state "of being." If you are experiencing a pain of some sort whether it be emotional or physical, you have the POWER to change it. You have to choose to move out of your comfort zone and try something new.

What is happening in your life that is yelling out for you to change your priorities? If something keeps happening over and over again causing you pain- that is where you could start. After all, the best definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." Ding! Ding! Ding!Ding! Ding! That's the answer! What are you going to choose to do today to honor your body? Your body is a TEMPLE...
